Synod Awards Grants

The Council of the Synod of Alaska-NW met on January 26-27, 2010 for their regular meeting. The Council approved the recommendations received from the Grants Task Force to award a total of $80,578. Congregations from the NPS Presbytery received approval for the following grants totaling $20,970:

Emmanuel Presbyterian Church received a Communications Grant for $4970;
Mountain View Presbyterian Church received a Communications Grant for $5000;
The INN University Ministries received a higher education ministry grant for $6000; and
The NPS Presbytery Youth Triennium received $5000 to assist with youth delegate travel expenses for the Youth Triennium being held in July 2010.

The NPS Presbytery appreciates the support of the Synod of Alaska-NW on these ministries of our congregations.
